WWE Survivor Series 2016 is slowly building up as the battleground for supremacy between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. Here are the latest WWE Survivor Series 2016 rumors and the updated match card less than two weeks before the event.

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg

Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg are both expected to come face to face next week on Raw in the WWE Survivor Series go-home edition. Will it get physical with each other or will it be a boring showdown? Goldberg looked really rusty in his segment against Rusev which means the WWE might save the fun until November 20.

Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman & Seth Rollins) vs. Team SmackDown (A.J. Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton & Shane McMahon) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match

Seth Rollins was named the final member of Team Raw this past Monday and it led to a Fatal 5-Way Match between all the members. Kevin Owens ended up winning it after accidentally pinning his best friend, Chris Jericho. Many people believe that the WWE is planting the seeds of a possible “JeriKO” breakup.

As for SmackDown, Baron Corbin was removed from the team after it was determined that he cannot compete due to injury. In a shocking turn of events, Shane McMahon was named as his replacement and he will be having his first match since WrestleMania 32 at WWE Survivor Series 2016.

Also, James Ellsworth was named as SmackDown Live’s official mascot. Who could be Raw’s counterpart for him? Where is Hornswoggle when you need him?

Team Raw (Charlotte, Bayley, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Sasha Banks) vs. Team SmackDown (Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Alexa Bliss, Carmella & Naomi) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match

It was revealed this past week on Raw that Alicia Fox and Sasha Banks are the final two members of Team Raw. Dana Brooke was relegated as the team’s mascot just like with James Ellsworth in the Men’s SmackDown team.

On the other hand, Naomi earned the final spot on Team SmackDown. However, there could be tension brewing for the blue brand as Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch has unfinished business regarding the SmackDown Women’s championship.

Team Raw (The New Day, Sheamus & Cesaro, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Enzo Amore & Big Cass & The Shining Stars) vs. Team SmackDown (Heath Slater & Rhyno, The Hype Bros, The Usos, American Alpha & Breezango) in a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Elimination Match

Just like all the Traditional Survivor Series matches, the members of both Team Raw and Team SmackDown are already set. Expect this match to be very confusing as 20 superstars will be involved but The New Day, Enzo & Cass and Slater & Rhyno is surely going to entertain the crowd first.

Dolph Ziggler (C) vs. Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship

In the last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler challenged any Raw superstar to a match at WWE Survivor Series 2016. Sami Zayn defeated Rusev this past week on Raw in Scotland to earn the right to bring the Intercontinental championship to Monday nights.

There were several rumors that Zayn might win the championship to give the stars in the red brand something to fight for. On the other hand, the rumor of the cruiserweight division going to SmackDown is a possible trade-off for it.

Brian Kendrick (C) vs. Kalisto for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

As announced on Talking Smack, Kalisto will face cruiserweight champ Brian Kendrick at WWE Survivor Series. If the masked superstar wins, the title and entire division are going to have a new home on SmackDown.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 will be on November 20, 2016, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada. The show is expected to go four hours long which means a couple more matches will be added to the official match card.
