CM Punk was a type of wrestler World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans craved since the attitude era. He had the charisma and the mic skills to engage an arena into chanting his name and engulf into a storyline. However, following differences with how WWE booked him, the 37-year-old walked away from the company and joined the UFC to pursue his mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

WWE WrestleMania 32 is just a few days away from happening in Arlington, Texas. Fans are expecting a surprise appearance from the former three times WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, the probability of Punk making an appearance at the Grand Daddy of Them All looks unlikely considering the man from Chicago, Illinois being very vocal about his departure from the company, as reported by fansided.com.

Several factors were associated with CM Punk leaving the WWE. The major one being the company not booking the wrestler according to the superstar status he possessed. With the injury crisis, WWE is going through at the moment, the company could have certainly used the babyface credentials of Punk in the absence of John Cena. But, the fans of the wrestling promotion may have heard the last of “Cult of Personality” playing in the arenas.

Despite having a volatile relationship with WWE, Punk’s return to the company may not be completely ruled out. If the company decides to give in to Punk’s policy of booking him like a superstar, an imminent return could be seen at the upcoming WrestleMania 32.

However, there could be a complication in terms of Punk’s UFC contract. WWE would not want its start to get injured during a UFC match and the MMA promotion, on the other hand, wouldn’t be happy seeing its fighter making WWE appearances while he is under contract with UFC.

Despite the scenario being tough, one cannot rule out CM Punk returning to the WWE. The company has certainly witnessed weird returns before and that would make the fans more confident of a Punk return in near future.
